Up-Do's & Summer time

In the spring/summer season it is always fun to try something new with your hair. Summer highlights, a new rich auburn, something warm or bright to gear up for the new season. What about a new style? Up-Do's can be very formal, semi-formal, loose and fun, or relaxed and chic. Since I started in the beauty industry, I have always loved finding new things to do with my hair, and also things to do for others. I also love doing the avant-garde' and classic Up-Do styles. When it comes to doing loose side buns, easy-flowing braids, or wavy spiral curls I can show you ways to make these a daily fix.
I have come to find that people bring photos of what they wish their hair to look like, which I love because it gives me a main image to base the style off of. The challenge with this however, is that a majority of the time the person in the photo has a different hair type than your own hair. Most of the time, we can get very similar results, it is just something to keep in mind. One of the most popular current trends is hair like Taylor Swift's. How she can rock big, beachy curls, and her glamorous up styles. The biggest trend I have noticed in celebrities and people alike is the up-kept mess. Whether that means long flowy straight locks, messy waves, worn-in braids, or big bodied volume, these can all be transferred into an up-style.
Getting an Up-Do should also be a time to just relax and have fun! Being an AVEDA salon we value spending quality time with our clients and making them feel at home and relaxed. You will be greeted with a complimentary shoulder/neck/scalp massage with the scent of one of AVEDA's essential oils, leaving you happy and relaxed and ready to go out! Up-Do's aren't always for big formal events either, why not come in and just feel special for the day? I would love to teach you new fun ways to do simple things to your hair like in the styles I have completed! (the pictures in this article)
