We are very excited to announce that we have gone AVEDA at Accent on Appearances! As professional hairstylists, we have always been concerned about exposure to certain chemical ingredients in the products we use in the salon & recommend to our clients for home maintenance between visits. In recent years as more information has become available to us, our concerns have grown. Here at AOA over the past several years, we had already chosen to switch to products that are eco friendly, health conscious & safe for our clients, ourselves and our planet. For that reason the decision to become an AVEDA salon seemed like the logical next step.

While the products we have been using proclaim similar philosophies & boast of being made from natural botanical ingredients, certified organics, no petro-chemicals & the likes, we now have the AVEDA reputation to back us up.  AVEDA has over 30 years of experience, and is the forerunner to all other eco safe hair care and cosmetic companies. AVEDA was eco conscious before it was a household word or the popular thing to be.

We are so pleased to be a part of the AVEDA family.  As part of that family, our team members participate in a great deal of continuing education to ensure that you get the best service possible every time you visit. At the forefront of this education, AVEDA  gives us a great deal of product knowledge, including how to work with the products, as well as what works best for specific hair types. All of our team members are required to attend ongoing education to learn new information & review the basics. We do this to ensure that any member of our team will be completely confident in answering your questions or making recommendations based on your needs and preferences. In addition to product knowledge classes, our stylists are required to attend ongoing advanced training in hair coloring, cutting and styling techniques.
